Malinc Publishing House

Malinc is a publishing house that has been publishing quality young people’s literature since 2012 and strives to increase literary diversity. It focuses on publishing authors from the Spanish-speaking area and minority literatures related to Spanish culture, such as Basque, Catalan and Galician authors. It also publishes texts of lesser-known European and world literatures. It puts academic knowledge into practice through projects to promote and motivate reading: it runs reading motivation projects, organises training courses for reading tutors, literary readings and visits by foreign authors. In this way, it raises general reading literacy, intercultural and linguistic competences, and involves vulnerable groups, in particular dyslexic people.

In 2022, Malinc Publishing House was awarded with a distinction from IBBY Slovenia.

Skaznuvalka

Skaznuvalka is a small publishing house with the.mission to contribute to the development and intellectual enrichment of children through texts and illustrations that will awaken their imagination and visual sensitivity, stimulate their empathy, offer them different perspectives, and help them build a genuine imagination while forming their own views. The vision of the publishing house is to publish quality literature by the best national and international artists and authors, so that children can enjoy the reading and visual experience. The publishing house believes in the transformative power of reading, text and visual messages, and that reading from a young age opens the door to a richer life, encourages us to be creative and compassionate, to develop intellectually and as human beings.

Trinta-por-uma-linha

Trinta-por-uma-linha is an editorial project specifically (but not exclusively) dedicated to children’s and young people’s literature. It focuses its work on publishing quality literary projects, critical studies in the field of children’s and young people’s literature and studies in the field of education, with the aim of contributing to literary education (shaping the taste for reading), cultural education (combining tradition and innovation) and aesthetic education (emphasising emotion and pleasure) for readers, young and old. The publishing house is committed to socially responsible publishing and encourages the production of content and fights against illiteracy in all its forms. Trinta-por-uma-linha also has two seals: Busílis, dedicated to adult literature, and Tropelias & Companhia, dedicated to studies in children’s and young people’s literature, education and the arts.

Alberdania Publishing House was founded in 1993. Since then, it has based  its progress on a fundamental pillar: publishing quality literature in both Basque and Spanish for all readers.
